Elton John Struggles with Eyesight After Severe Infection

Elton John, the renowned pop icon, has been dealing with a severe eye infection that has left him with limited vision in one eye. This condition has significantly impacted his ability to watch his new musical, `The Devil Wears Prada,` which he wrote the score for. Despite his efforts to recover, John has admitted that he cannot see anything, read anything, or watch anything due to his vision loss.

During the opening night of `The Devil Wears Prada` at London's Dominion Theatre, which was also a charity gala for the Elton John AIDS foundation, John gave an update on his condition. He expressed his love for the musical and mentioned that it sounded good during the performance, even though he couldn't see it. This incident highlights the challenges he is facing as he continues to heal from the infection.

John revealed in September that he had been dealing with a severe eye infection and that it would take some time before his sight returns to the impacted eye. Despite this setback, he remains hopeful about his recovery and continues to be involved in various projects, including a documentary titled `Elton John: Never Too Late,` which is set to be released on December 13.
