: India Struggles Under Rohit Sharma`s Captaincy in Australia

:India's tour of Australia has been marred by a series of setbacks under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. The team suffered its fourth consecutive Test loss, with the latest defeat coming in the Pink-Ball Test in Adelaide. Former Australia batter Simon Katich has criticized Rohit for his bowling changes, suggesting that he failed to rotate his bowlers effectively. In contrast, India's deputy captain Jasprit Bumrah was praised for his superior bowling strategy during the series opener in Perth, where India won by 295 runs.

Rohit Sharma's batting form has also been a concern. He batted at No.6 for the first time since 2018 but managed only scores of 3 and 6 in the second Test. KL Rahul, who has been a consistent performer for India, struggled with his form as well. Despite scoring 37 in the first innings of the Adelaide Test, Rahul's inconsistency has been a recurring issue in overseas series.

The Indian team is now looking to find a winning combination ahead of the third Test at the Gabba in Brisbane. With the series tied 1-1, India has the opportunity to turn their fortunes around. However, the absence of Ravindra Jadeja, who has been averaging over 43 with the bat and 21.8 with the ball in four Tests in Australia, has been felt. His inclusion could provide a much-needed boost to India's batting and bowling lineup.

The third Test is crucial for India as they aim to stay in contention for the World Test Championship final. With the series hanging in the balance, Rohit Sharma will need to make some strategic changes to turn the tide in India's favor.
