The city of Lagos has witnessed an exciting conclusion to the inaugural edition of the Eko Basketball League. Hoops & Read basketball team emerged victorious, defeating Deepbond 66-63 in a heart-stopping final match held at the National Stadium Complex in Lagos.

League Overview
The Eko Basketball League, organized by the Lagos State Basketball Association, started on July 21, 2024, with eight participating teams: Comets, Hoops & Read, Dodan Warriors, Police Baton, LXB, Deepbond, Raptors, and Heat Kings. The league saw a total of 112 games played at two facilities: Rowe Park Sports Centre in Yaba and Dolphins Basketball Court in Agege.

Final Match
In the final game, Hoops & Read retained their title by defeating Deepbond. This victory marked their second consecutive championship in the state's premier league.
