Elton John Struggles with Eyesight After Severe Infection

Elton John, the renowned pop icon, has been dealing with a severe eye infection that has left him with limited vision in one eye. This condition has significantly impacted his ability to watch his new musical, `The Devil Wears Prada,` which he wrote the score for. Despite his efforts to stay positive, John admitted that he cannot even see a lyric at the studio, highlighting the challenges he faces in his current state.

During the opening night of `The Devil Wears Prada` at London's Dominion Theatre, which was also a charity gala for the Elton John AIDS foundation, John gave an update on his condition. He expressed his love for the musical and acknowledged that it sounded good, but his limited vision made it difficult for him to fully appreciate the performance.

John revealed in September that he had been dealing with a severe eye infection, which would take some time to heal and for his sight to return to the impacted eye. Despite this setback, he remains hopeful about his recovery and continues to work on various projects, including a documentary titled `Elton John: Never Too Late,` set to release on December 13.
